This class is the beginning of the BAAS degree program. It covers the theory and techniques related to the identification, documentation, and assessment of various forms of prior extra-institutional learning. Career and occupational information, career decision-making, and academic planning are included as a central part of the course. This is a writing intensive class and you must attend the BAAS orientation prior to enrolling in this class.

Books can be ordered through the bookstore at http://www.bookstore.txstate.edu You will need the following textbooks: Discovering Your Hidden Degree, Texas State University-San Marcos Undergraduate Catalog, and Holland Self-Directed Search.
Some books may also be available at Rother's or the Colloquium bookstores in San Marcos.
