Topics include computing hardware and software, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, graphics, presentation software, the Internet, email, and web-page creation. This course covers the use of computers and multimedia in the classroom or office. Opportunity is provided for review of TExES examination in Trade and Industry. This class is intensive and time consuming. You will learn to use the computer or demonstrate how well you know how to use the computer. You must have a computer with an Internet connection, preferably DSL, cable or other high speed access, a word processing program, a spreadsheet program, and a presentation program. Access to an HTML authoring program will also be needed but the class will use a free program available for download. You must have the permission of the instructor to enroll in the on-line class. Your success in this section of the class will depend on your ability and familiarity with the computer. |
