Admission Check List for OCED 4350
Prior to acceptance to Texas State:
Step 1 Attend an information session in San Marcos, Round Rock, or in the San Antonio area for the Occupational Education program and review the literature on our web site for the BAAS Degree.
Step 2 Apply to the University, receive an acceptance letter, and have your previous transcripts evaluated for transfer credits. (
This link will take you to the transfer student admissions page.)
After acceptance to Texas State:
Step 3 Apply for a CATS pin. The CATS pin allows you to register online and establish the required Texas State e-mail account. Go to
CatsWeb then click on "Student Services" then "Create your CATS Pin" under "Computing Services".
Step 4 Create your Texas State e-mail account. Go to
CatsWeb, then click on "Student Services" then "Create/reactivate your Texas State Username".
Step 5 Generate and print a Degree Audit Report (DARS). Go to
CatsWeb, then click on "Student Services" then "Generate Degree Audit Report" under "Academic Records". The DARS is an unofficial plan until you finalize the plan after the OCED 4350 course.
Students who had courses that transferred as technical/vocational or TV will not see these courses listed on the degree audit report until after the 12th class day of their initial enrollment in courses at Texas State. Also at a Degree Audit Report Session, your adviser can explain about moving courses from the electives to the Occupational Emphasis.
Step 6 If you have questions about your DARS, please attend a Degree Audit Report Session in San Marcos or Round Rock or students who live in San Antonio should make an appointment with one of the advisers in the San Antonio area. Students must bring a copy of the Degree Audit Report with them.
